Psalm 121:2
"My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth."
"I am tired"—three words we have uttered more times than we’d like to admit. When we reach the end of our rope and need divine intervention, we have the privilege of going to our Father.
Sometimes, exhaustion overwhelms us, making us want to stop and throw in the towel. We grow weary—stressed at work, burdened by unexpected bills, drained by the demands of moody kids, an indifferent spouse, a fragile friendship or things going wrong and completely out of our control.
In these moments, we can turn to God because He is a present help. He gives us perspective and realigns our focus on what truly matters. We become exhausted when we rely solely on our own strength and abilities.
If you find yourself mentally, physically, or spiritually fatigued, take a moment to pause, assess, and ask for help before you cross over into exhaustion.
Reflection
What areas of your life are causing you the most exhaustion? Have you been trying to handle them on your own? What can you do differently today?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I come before You weary and burdened. Life’s demands feel overwhelming, and I confess that I have tried to carry them on my own. But You are my ever-present help, my refuge, and my source of strength. Lord, teach me to rely on You, to find rest in Your presence, and to trust that You will sustain me. Help me to surrender my worries and exhaustion to You, knowing that You are in control. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for the peace that comes from resting in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
