Isaiah 41:10

"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

This passage of scripture beautifully depicts God's protection, strength, and faithfulness. The verse contains several "I" statements that emphasize what God will do.

He promises to be with us, so we should not be afraid.

He reminds us that He is our God, and we do not need to be anxious or distressed. He knows that an anxious mind is never at rest.

He also promises to strengthen and help us, reassuring us that our daily sustenance and renewal come from Him.

The final "I" statement in this verse is His promise to uphold us with His righteous right hand—a place of safety and refuge for our souls. No greater security exists than being upheld by God Himself.

We cannot sustain ourselves; this verse reminds us how much we need Him every day. He lifts us when we are low, overwhelmed, or weary. How wonderful it is to know that His unfailing love meets us at our point of need.

When human strength fails us—and it will—we can place our complete trust in the righteous right hand of God. His arm is the only one we can lean on, rest in, and find comfort in at all times.

Rest in God’s strength—He can bear the weight. He will not let you fall.

A Prayer for Strength and Trust

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the reassurance of Your presence and faithfulness. In times of fear, doubt, and weakness, help me to remember that You are my strength and my refuge. Lift me up when we I am weary, uphold me when I am weak, and remind me that I am never alone.

Lord, I surrender my anxieties to You, trusting in Your righteous right hand to guide and sustain me. Strengthen my heart, renew my spirit, and help me to walk in unwavering faith, knowing that You are always with me.

I put my complete trust in You, resting in the peace and security of Your unfailing love.

In Jesus name, Amen.

"The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses" Psalm 25:17

Our heart can tell us a lot about our mental, physical and spiritual health when faced with opposition. It's a great indication of how well we handle the various pressures we face in life. Health concerns, financial hardships, family issues or ministry related stresses can all bring unwanted trouble to our hearts. Some of us try to figure things out on our own before seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Our first response should always be prayer. It is in our intimate and sacred time with the Lord we will find genuine help. God will direct us where to go, who to speak to and what we need to do. Moments of distress cannot be handled alone. We need his presence to steady our hearts and relax our minds. Otherwise we will give into negative thoughts and behaviors. It’s in these instances the enemy will capitalize on our fears and anxieties. We desperately need the Holy Spirit to help us navigate out of the looming darkness of our thoughts and circumstances and into God's illuminating light. Think of God’s light as gravity; the closer we get to it the more we will be pulled to the truth. The daunting cloud of our stress will begin to dissipate.

Although our hearts are full with emotions that make us feel like they are raging out of control; the truth is we are in control when we place our confidence in God. The only way we can overcome our fears and anxieties is to take back our confidence and place it where it belongs...in God's capable hands.

We have the power to speak not only to our situations but also to our emotions. If we can control our emotions we are able to think clearly, pray fervently and hope with joy that whatever we face is turning around for our good. Why? Because the word of God clearly states that he is not only working things out for our good...but when it's all said and done his plan is going to make our way prosperous.

Hold on to this truth...God is a deliverer. Think of how he has shown up in your life. Recall all of your victories, count all of your blessings big and small and take rest in his ability to do it again! Turnover all of your stress to God. Lay your cares, fears, doubts and your sins before him. Bear your heart, tell him you need his divine intervention and trust that we will do what only he can do. In return, if you are willing to receive it... you will obtain the grace to endure, the peace that your heart longs for, and the assurance that he is in control.

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us." Romans 8:18

"Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!"

1Chronicles 16:24

It's not always in the moment but in the move of God that you begin to appreciate what he has graced you to go through. When you experience financial loss, a battle for your health, martial issues, a child gone wild, or problems on the job, it doesn't seem like God is working in your favor. The never ending cycle of experiencing one thing after another can be discouraging and debilitating. The tears cried and the heartache felt doesn't bring assurance in the moment of our pain and distress.

Most would agree that it's hard to see God at work when you are frustrated or overwhelmed. Yet, the grace of God is able to bring you out. If we are honest with ourselves we can point to several occasions when we saw no way out but God did. We forget our previous victories because our current situation seem to out weigh it all. We are here today as a witness to his grace and mercy.

Today, God wants you to perceive your sufferings as an opportunity. He wants you to acknowledge that you are positioned to extend his assurance of breakthrough to someone that is experiencing what you just came out of. He wants you to declare that the fire you were in did not burn you because he was with you. He is waiting on you to profess that God's grace is sufficient in every situation. God is looking to you to be his witness!

Your testimony brings glory to God when you can share it with others. When you witness in the spirit of hope and faith, you are encouraging others to stick with God's process. Everything you have endured molded you to represent God's faithfulness. You become a beacon of light to someone else that is going through a rough season in their life. Sharing your testimony is the one the greatest testament that a believer can give. God is glorified when you can attribute your victories in life to him. They might not have turned out the way you expected but you still gained the victory.

When he is lifted up through our worship, lifestyle and confession, people will begin to glorify him in heaven. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to someone that needs to hear your testimony. Your story and voice can be the deliverance they have been waiting on. Your story matters!
