"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." Psalm 91:1
Now more than ever, we must remain in God's presence. It's there where we are sheltered from what is passing over. When we choose to stay in the secret place we are able to hear his voice clearer, our vision becomes sharper and our understanding becomes deeper.
Well, how do we get there? First, you must note that this place is available to those who will seek out the Lord with a diligent heart. Second, know that there is room for you! God gladly welcomes those who is ready to dwell, abide and rest in him. Third, when you go into prayer, spend some time in worship. It's a great way to clear your mind. It also allows you to focus on Jesus. When your focus becomes more intentional, you will find that your worship opens the door to an intimate time in prayer.
Lastly, when you begin to pray, don't rush to what you need but begin to listen for the instructions of the Holy Spirit. He will lead you deeper into God's presence. There you will find that what you were getting ready to ask for he has already provide the answer. When you are faithful in this approach, you will spend more time abiding and resting in him.
