Be Patient

Psalm 40:1, NKJV

I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry.

Waiting on the Lord isn't always easy, especially when we've been waiting a long time for answers. However, we can be certain that he will respond. While we wait, we must remain steadfast in prayer. Our prayers should be filled with thanksgiving, knowing that God will answer when the time is right.

Like a good Father, God is aware of our needs and will provide for us. In the waiting, He teaches us patience in every situation, regardless of the circumstance. With the help of the Holy Spirit we can endure during our waiting season in faith.

When we wait on the Lord and resist the urge to execute plan B, we are choosing to trust His timing and response. Don't go weary in waiting— He is already working things out for your good and his glory. As you wait, remember you are growing in patience and deepening your trust in the Lord.
