"Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay." Habakkuk 2:2-3
It's time to revisit the vision that God gave you that you decided to shelf. The one you were excited about in the beginning that you jumped into it with everything you had. But something happened, your patience wore thin after experiencing setbacks. Your passion grew cold because what you have been trying to build seem too hard to pursue. You throw your hands up in defeat to accept the idea of moving on.Today, God wants to encourage you and to stop you in your tracks!
Though it tarries, God is preparing you to walk in and sustain all that he promised. I know you are thinking it's easier said than done. But the truth is, as a believer we have help! The Holy Spirit is our guide. When we try to figure things out on our own we become frustrated, discouraged and disappointed. Yet, in all of that the Holy Spirit steers us back to the truth of the matter. The truth is...our strength, understanding, knowledge and wisdom is limited.
God is ALL powerful, ALL knowing, ALL seeing and EVER present. We have to learn to have faith and trust without boarders or limitations. If God be God, we have to be willing to submit to his molding and shaping while we wait for the manifestation. In the end, it is all of our benefit. We become partakers of his divine nature and escape our doubting thoughts that tells us to give up on our vision.
If we want the life that God promised, we should desire and embrace the path that he has predestined just for us. We were made to be a reflection of his grace, mercy and glory. The plans he has in store for you is greater than any plan you can envision for yourself. It's not always easy to see yourself beyond your current situation or circumstance but it is time to see yourself through the powerful lens of God's word that echoes his promise.
When was the last time you reminded yourself of the vision God placed in your heart? Do you recite it to keep it fresh in your soul? Do you have a vision wall? How do you keep the word of God alive in your heart? Do you allow what you don't see shake what you know in your heart? We all have been there but the most important thing is not to stay there. Get back to reciting the word over your life and refuse to give into doubt.
Pray:
Father, I lay down my fears and doubts and I receive your afresh the fruit of the Spirit into my heart. You know what's best for me and I trust the path that you will lead me in getting there. May your Holy Spirit lead me and guide me into all of your promises. Help me not to get weary or impatient, but strengthen me in my time of weakness. Father, when I can't see my way and want to give up, let the wind of your Spirit revive me and push me into the place where I need to be. In Jesus name, AMEN.
