"Within you is the spring of life. In your light we see light." Psalm 36:7 CEB
God is our source for everything. Without him we would be lost, confused and without hope. As a believer, we have access to the spring of life. He is continually pouring into us what we so desperately need. God is the only one that can truly satisfy our soul and quench our thirst to be filled with his transformational light.
I can imagine that every time worship goes up, praise goes up, prayers like a sweet-smelling aroma goes up, God is pouring out of his life-giving spring supplying our needs. He begins to pour out his Spirit of love, grace, mercy, peace, joy, strength, knowledge, wisdom, healing and deliverance into our lives. When we think of God's outpouring or blessings, we must remember not to limit it to material things. God's desire is to bless us with the intangible things that never lose its value. It’s time to put away the things we value that doesn’t bring enrichment into our lives or can save us from sinful desires.
He is the only one that can make us whole from the inside out. The finest things in life can never fill the void of the emptiness we feel; only God can. When our outward appearance does not match what's on the inside, we are creating a façade that will eventually faulter. Our heavenly Father knows that we can never find wholeness on our own. His love sent his son, Jesus to the cross so that we can lay claim to new life in him. His all-powerful redeeming blood bridged the gap that through him we may obtain the intangible blessings of God. In Christ we have gained a life worth living.
We are able to walk in his light that illuminates every area of our heart and dispels and repels the sin that shows up in our lives. When we stand in the light of God, he begins to show us the various things we need to address and create in us a contrite heart. The Spirit of God comes to bring illumination and revelation into our souls so we can align our lives to his word and remain in his light.
Today, ask God to pour into you today and shed his light into your hearts and minds so that you can live conscientiously for him.
