Stop & Pause

Psalm 5:3 “In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”

It’s the beginning of a new week and everything seems to be a perpetual cycle of daily routines. We sometimes start our day in haste without presenting our day to God. We rush to get in front of the computer to check our emails or we grab our phones to check our news feed on various social media outlets. We jump right into the day before taking a moment to stop, pause and offer our day to the Lord.

There are great benefits when you take a moment to check in with the Lord. We have an opportunity to ask him for strength, courage and patience. When we do, our Father is able to navigate us through all of the challenges that come our way. We will be able to do it with grace and a new found capacity to handle any issue. We will avoid the many pitfalls of frustration because we would have already prepared our hearts and minds.

It is important that we practice seeking out God every day for daily instructions. You can receive guidance through reading his word, prayer and in worship. Asking God for direction and assistance will allow us to be productive. If you haven’t already, stop what you are doing, pause for a minute and offer your day to the Lord. He will help you get through your day with grace.
