Grounded in Love

"17 So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17-19

When Christ dwells in our heart through faith, he is able to keep us grounded in his unfailing love. There is nothing more powerful or life changing than experiencing the authentic pure love of God. The scripture encourages us to get to know the height, depth and length of it. Once we begin to grasp how much we are loved, we are filled with the fullness of who he is...that's truly amazing!

There is deeper knowledge of God's love that will be revealed once we remain in his love by faith. As we dive into God's love we will experience a greater level of awareness. We will not be easily swayed by the tactics of the enemy. Our faith will become firm and our understanding solid.

The enemy seeks to distort our understanding of God's love and care. He does this by showing us our life experiences through a pessimistic lens. Yet, even through our most difficult and trying time, God is always with us because his love never departs from us. Our greatest victory over the enemy lies in our understanding of God's love. If the enemy can make you believe that God doesn't love you, then he has robbed you of the greatest truth that can revolutionize your life.

As we approach Christmas, think about the gift of God. Christ came so that we can receive the gift of salvation. With the gift of salvation we gain access to the many gifts God has prepared for us.

Take this week to focus on the Love of God and the many ways he has shown his love in your life. Consider every detail, you will find that in your darkest hour, his love was always present.
