Accountability

" Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground." Psalm 143:10 NIV

In our pursuit to fulfill the will of God, let's not forget the one who enables and keeps us accountable to the calling...the Holy Spirit! God has given us the ability to go forth, but our motivation and attitude is determined by how well we listen to the prompting of his Spirit. When we lose our willingness to continue to plow or our heart is flooded with raging emotions we tend to forget that our strength is not sufficient enough to bear the weight of ministry. We need the Holy Spirit to lean on where ever we are vulnerable. God gave us Jesus as an example.

Jesus is the best motivator of all time and his attitude is impeccable. We saw how he dealt with the people and his disciples. He had the ability, motivation, the perfect attitude and the approach to accomplish what the Father had called him to do. He made the crooked way straight so that we can walk on level ground. All we have to do is follow his foot prints that he prepared for us.

If we desire to be like Christ, we must take our cues from the Holy Spirit. It's the Spirit of God that will lead and guide us into all avenues of truth and help us to follow his footsteps. This week, stay true to the call and what he is has gifted you to do. Heed his voice and watch it all come together.
